I'm really glad to know that my efforts are appreciated and even more so that its rewarded. but its not the trophy that i got that matters the most.

its seeing my efforts literally grow in front of me. yes, im talking about the sec4 NCOs who passed out today.

I can still recall the times when people say

"this batch cannot make it"
"these people really ah...."

but i never gave up on them. and nothing is more rewarding than to see them like this today!
Wonderful!. Lets all wish to prosperous future for them!

Things have been so surreal. its almost as if my life is coming full circle.

Mahir's bdae passed and for the first time, i was part of the planning! haha. i know. i suck.
INTURAC 2008 falls on my birthday and the team is getting so bonded to the extent where it feels like i've known them all my life.
We calculated the UOPA today and it was beyond belief!
The unit is getting stronger and more united.
School is getting tougher but thats the way i like it!
my family bonding going up!
my health and fitness is going up.

the annoying part is that the price i have to pay will now be 80 dollars because i'll be NINETEEN BY THEN!. @#$!%

While munching on my dinner, I've had a thought about how really disgusting and intolerable some people can get. especially over some minor stuff like CS!...just for their own ego and satisfaction.

no wonder everyone keeps saying the world is coming to an end. probably because its US who created our own destruction.

On the other hand, I consider myself blessed and fortunate to be surrounded by good people. People who have helped me mould and shape my life's destiny. even if that person is someone i know for only a minute or so in my lifetime.

Immensely thankful! if you're reading this, then consider yourself one of those people. =)

Lesson three of the first aid course:

Improvisation and courage because you have to be the man when someone's down.

Let me blog a little more properly. my instructor was Mr ROYAL (his name for real). Hong kong guy. moved to singapore. we all know how blunt and stern they are. but i guess his accent was the barrier for us to really understand what he was saying.

e.g

his spelling of CONSCIOUSNESS became CONCESSION.
his pronounciation of B became P.

half of the time most of us were struggling to understand what he was saying.

during practical most of us were shaking like mad and awaiting his instructions.most of us were probably pissed off with him most of the time for being so damn stern like nobody's business.

however,
during the practical exam, I suddenly realised the importance of his stern teaching.

because in a real life situation, there's no room for any error. even in the positioning of our elbows and feet. the real life situation is worse than the actual exam or classroom.

and I've come across situations where first aid is useful but I knew nuts bout it. so i guess its gonna be different from now on.

somehow with the course over, its almost as if everyone has changed. its like a whole new gateway to a dimension of life.

what a difference a choice makes in a lifetime. just like CIBTC

1254pm. this white-black cat was lying on the road at the carpark, bleeding from the mouth with gashes across the front paws and its breathing becoming more shallow by the minute.

I've never felt more sick in my entire life.

everytime the cat raised its head, it kept coughing out blood. I'll be damned if I didnt do anything to help the little guy. so I called SPCA.

thats when things got a little interesting.

the moment it was approached, it started spitting and hissing. when the pole was brought out, it started limping away. quite fast for a wounded cat!

ran from one end of the carpark to the other till it took refuge in the small drain around the block. so i had to help and hold on to a retractable net while the SPCA guy forced him nearer and nearer into the net. heh.

so we finally got him. haha. i could take on a job with animals one day.

and dont start calling me Ace Ventura or whoever or whatever. lol

Back from Area 1 ATC,

it was one hell of an enriching experience. i got to see how the CIs did their work. honestly i was impressed when reading their proposal. I was even more impressed with their capabilities. makes me ponder alot.

its like seeing a whole new world of CIs. and as I've always said, each of them has a quality that sets them apart from one another. and I'm thankful to have found that in all of them. wonderful.really wonderful

so anyway, i can finally concentrate on unit stuff. a little too late perhaps? never in a million years. all that's left is just keep on training. somehow to describe today's events, i just have to say this again and again.

all my life, I've lived by a code.

once the paperwork for PSEI and area 1 atc is over, i can finally take a breather!!
