Abstracted post again.

- niece comes over sometimes. GOD ITS SCARY WHEN SHE CRIES. I'D RATHER GO TO NS OR GET FCUKED THAN SEE HER CRY. I'm scared shitless. haiyo, babies. But her presence in this house always lifts the mood here. especially for my sis who is nuts about her. Her laptop and desktop PC wallpaper has our niece's pic and she'll go,

'EH SHE SO CUTE RIGHT?!"

In other words, all of you now know my worst fear.
BABIES! ESPECIALLY CRYING ONES!

God, I cant imagine being a husband having a crying baby in my arms and my wife is not around. I'll probably break down and cry with the baby. The thought of it is enough to make me shudder. literally.

So anyway, NPAP is going on as usual. I'm the CI-in-attendance or parade marker as they usually call it. together with Hongliang. Doesnt sound so easy after you start giving the commands. We're still working on the whole parade. We still dont know whose the PC yet. hmm, shd probably know by this sat which is the full dress rehearsal. Lets make it work eh? its a first time wearing the GOH badge for me too.

Area event should be stepping up as well. heh. lets work on that as well eh?

So we just keep rolling now.

I'm going to be honest and clear.

Being a CI, your first priority is the cadets welfare.
let me get this clear for anyone reading this blog and I hope it will help you realise.

When it comes to welfare, the first thing you need to do is learn to look after yourself.
if you cant do that, dont take care of them.

When it comes to discipline, you have to uphold the highest level.
If you cant discipline yourself, you cant scold them.

When it comes to teaching, you have to be able to learn from your cadets.
If you cant learn from those below you, you cant teach.

When it comes to facing difficulties, YOU NEED TO KEEP A COOL HEAD.
IF YOU CANT KEEP A COOL HEAD,

THOSE BELOW YOU SUFFER

I cannot stress the importance of this any further.
This is purely one of the few reasons for my big disappointment over our annual camp and Games day.

Failure to keep a calm and collected spirit will only ensue in chaos.

I apologise for anyone hoping to get a good post out of this blog today after what has been a great week with my area8 CIs and poly friends and I sure hoped to blog about them especially after last night.

But if there's one thing that can distract me, its my duty to those young ones who are donning the uniform.

And now its the breaking point.
They're losing discipline, being rude, not learning everything we've taught them, being lazy, taking things for granted, wasting time and worse still, unable to see the goodness of all the hardships that they are being put through.

We're the only gold unit in area 8 but that doesnt mean a thing. To me, the other area8 units are doing better than US and we could do with taking a leaf out of their books.

And I've slacked to the point of DECADENCE!

Therefore, in the upcoming weeks, I'm going to do all that I can for my NPAP supporting contingent, my area CIs, my unit cadets and unit CIs.

And nothing is going to stand in the way of its progress. Not BD, not Sara and least of all, NOT YOU!

Exam results for 2.1

Marketing intelligence : D+
Process Management and Innovation: B+
Decision Analysis: B+
Organizational Behavior: B+
Public Speaking: B
Engineering Economy: B
Apel: P
GPA for this sem: 3.0
GPA: 2.70

Kinda disappointed with public speaking and engineering economy. I screwed up such a simple question for ECCMACC and i didnt put in more effort for public speaking. Dont bother for marketing intelligence. I always knew that was screwed up.

No surprises there for PMI and DECAN. But OB kinda brightened up my day. After just getting a pass for term test, I didnt expect to get B+. heh. the last paper was kinda easy though so i guess if i had worked harder for term test, maybe an A huh?

oh well. still a long way to go eh? 3 more semesters! never too late

My posts go without preamble as usual.

Dont get me wrong. I'm not going emo but I sense a big change coming.

Nowadays, I feel like some things are beyond my control. its almost as if they're part of a plan.
Speaking of plans, I feel like God has one for me.

call it intuition.

But honestly, I feel like everything is moving out my control (not that im not happy about it) and I'm not part of it?

wonder what though.

abstract again. haha. lazy lah dey.

Saw a python last wednesday. curled up on a railing at pasir ris park connector. One of the joggers was beckoning me to move away from the snake as I was cycling towards it. But I didnt see the snake and so i passed quite close to it. -.-

not that big though. just a metre long. n by the looks of it, it just ate. had a bulging stomach.

I was looking through some old NPCC photos and suddenly I think of how much of a lesser people we were than our older CIs.

Times have really changed?

both my knees are hurting like siao. bad tackles. heh
